snorwood's Home Network

These hosts comprise snorwood's network. The primary server (web, mail, DNS, shell, etc.) is a virtual NetBSD machine, located at Panix in New York on one of their Xen servers. I have had a shell account at Panix for years, and continue to be impressed with the company and its customer service. In the past, these services have been hosted at a college dorm connection, snorwood's parents' house on a cable connection, and snorwood's apartment on an SDSL connection.

At various times, the network has included machines running Linux, Solaris, IRIX, HP-UX, Windows, NetBSD, and other operating systems. Hardware has included Sparc (snorwood's personal favorite), x86, MIPS, and PA-RISC.

Everything rsyncs nightly to dragon, which runs daily backups to LTO2 tapes.

I am currently using Apache (with PHP and mod_ssl) for web service, Postfix (with Cyrus-SASL and UW-imapd) for mail service, and BIND for name service.
